Well again, you are assuming that the other party has the money to pay for the court costs / damages. Add on top of that the issue of time spent vs. reward.....and $1500 is not worth the effort. You would think that if you caused damage to other people's property you would pay it back, even in an installment situation if need be. Most people, as I learned long ago, have no pride and could give a shit less about what damage they caused. It's no fun to be on the receiving end of a crappy situation, but you have to know when to cut your losses and move on.
